Manage shipping service levels

  • Display the transit time associated with a certain service level at checkout.
  • Change the estimated transit time for your service level displayed at checkout.

Shipping types

Learn about shipping types and the difference between service levels and shipping options:

Service levels

Service levels are the live rate shipping methods provided by your carrier via a carrier account connection. Each service level will have specific rates, transit time, and transit type. Here are two examples:

  • An express service level: Ships quickly, (usually) with higher rates via air transport
  • A ground service level: Ships less quickly, (usually) with lower rates via ground transport

Custom shipping option

Custom shipping options are created by adding shipping rules from within a zone to offer free, flat-rate, or tiered shipping.

Custom service level

A custom service level is created by using custom rate sheets provided to you by your carrier or 3PL. You may send your rate sheets to our support team to format, upload and create your custom service level. Visit our Rate sheets page to learn more about rate sheets, and why and when they are required.

Note: For custom service levels, your only modification options in this section are to waive the disbursement flat fee, the disbursement minimum percentage, and/or the duty and tax forwarding surcharge. If you have negotiated but not waived carrier fees, please reach out to support@zonos.com.
