Payouts

Learn how to view your payouts, what schedule they run on, and how they appear in your bank statement.

Since Zonos processes your payments when you use Zonos Checkout, we collect the funds from the order in the checkout. We then pay the proceeds to you, net of our costs, via either Stripe or ACH transfer, depending on the method of payment used for the order.

View Payouts 

  1. Go to DashboardBillingPayouts.

    • If you have a Stripe account, all payouts (both from Stripe and PayPal) will display Connect as the Source. This is because PayPal payouts will go through your Stripe account when you have one. This results in quicker payouts to you and greater security for your funds.
    • If you do not have a Stripe account and only use PayPal, ACH will display as the Source. This is because Zonos' PayPal account is used, then the proceeds are sent to your bank account via an ACH transfer.
  2. Click on a payout to view its details, including which transactions are included in the payout.

  3. If you wish to export the payout information, click Export.

Payout schedules 

Stripe and PayPal can have different payout schedules, depending on if PayPal is the only method in the checkout or not.

Stripe schedule

  • Stripe sends payouts daily.

  • You will receive a payout 2-3 business days after an order is placed on your site.

  • If you have refunded more than you have sold, Zonos will withdraw funds instead of depositing them.

    • If you see a withdrawal from your bank account, that transaction will appear under Invoices instead of Payouts.
    • This means you must have debit and credit transactions set up in your bank account. This allows Zonos to be able to deposit and withdraw from Stripe.

PayPal schedule

Since PayPal transactions use Zonos' PayPal account, we must wait for the payment to clear to us before we can pass it along to you. Because of this, we group PayPal payments together.

  • PayPal statements are created every Friday and paid out every Tuesday as long as the value of orders over seven days old exceeds 500 USD (unless a different minimum is outlined for your store).

  • If your transactions are below the minimum each week, Zonos will send a payout every fifth Friday, or the Friday after the oldest transaction becomes 30 days old.

  • If you have refunded more than you have sold, Zonos will withdraw funds instead of depositing them.

    • If you see a withdrawal from your bank account, that transaction will appear under Invoices instead of Payouts.

Zonos will send you an email notification when we send a PayPal payout to you. You can control which email that notification goes to in Dashboard → SettingsBilling.

Bank statements 

  • When you have a Stripe account, all transactions will appear as Stripe Connect on your bank statement. This is because we route PayPal payments to payout using your connected Stripe account.
  • When you do not have a Stripe account, PayPal transactions will appear as ACH on your bank statement.

Exceptions 

A few merchants have altered their agreements to wait until orders have been shipped (rather than processed) before they will receive their payout.

If this is the case for you, your transactions will remain pending and will not be put on a statement until the shipping information has been entered. To enter shipping information:

  1. Go to DashboardOrders.
  2. Click on the order you have shipped.
  3. Click Add tracking number.
  4. Enter your tracking number.
  5. Click Save tracking number.
