When you have a custom field enabled, shoppers from the countries you've selected will see the field in the shipping address section of Checkout. If you've set the field to be required, shoppers will need to fill it out before they can complete their purchase. Up to three custom fields can be added to Checkout simultaneously.
Orders with custom fields will include the field name and value in their details. You can view this information in Dashboard or via the API. Where supported, custom fields will also be synced back to your ecommerce platform either as order notes or as custom fields, depending on the platform.
