Terms and Conditions

Zonos Checkout includes ready to go terms and conditions for your international customers.

Cross-Border Terms and Conditions

When on-boarding your account you have two choices on how to display the terms and conditions within your checkout.

1. Simple Acceptance

The terms and conditions can be shown with the statement “By placing your order, you agree to the following“ with a link to a modal to the terms and conditions.

Simple Terms and Conditions

2. Checkbox Acceptance

You can require your customer to acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions.

Required Terms and Conditions

Zonos™ Recommends

Zonos recommends engaging the Checkbox Acceptance option. Data privacy continues to be an ever-growing issue. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming in May of 2018 requires an active choice for the EU consumer that describes what personal data is collected and how that data will be used by the merchant and the processors. Passive acceptance, such as the Simple Acceptance link, is not an option for EU compliance.

Terms and Conditions

Below is the basic template for your international terms and conditions There will be slight differences if you choose to use Zonos Payments or a 3rd party payment gateway.
